Crab Garlic Roast ( Without Coconut )

Crab has a sweet and intense flavor. You can use in curry, salads, sandwiches, soups, pasta and stir-fries. I have made the South Indian way of Crab Roast with the flavor of garlic which makes the dish tasty. Crab garlic Roast is very easy to make. It is a tasty meal where you can enjoy the spicy,hot garlic flavored crab as I have used garlic while making masala and also while roasting the crab. When u have the roast after 4-5 hours of preparation the crab tastes still much great. Try this simple recipe and I am sure you will be happy with it and do you the most time :)

 Ingredients
    • 1 Kg Rock Crab Cleaned and cut (you can use any species of Crab around your location)
    • 12-15 smashed Singapore Garlic (they are bigger in size, you can also use the small garlic provided use more as per your requirement)
    • 5 tbsp ghee
    • 8 tbsp coconut oil

    Making of the Masala ( Grind the following to smooth velvety paste ) :?

    • 30 no Kasmiri Red chilli (Soak the red chilli in warm water for 30 minutes before grinding, this helps to impart red color and also the paste become smooth and fine)
    • 2 tbsp coriander seeds (Roasted)
    • 1 tbsp Jeera/Cumin seeds (Roasted)
    • 1 tsp Saunf/ fennel seeds (Roasted)
    • 4 strands of curry leaves (roast it well along the rest)

 Method

    Clean and cut the crabs.

    Add ground masala into the crab. Add the melted ghee and salt . Keep aside for 1 hour.

    Heat coconut oil in a big bottom kadai. Add the smashed garlic fry well with medium flame.

    Add the marinated crabs and mix well. After 5 minutes close with lid and cook the crab for 10 minuted under low flame. Remove the lid and now keep stiring well for 10 minutes to cook and roast crab along the masala under medium flame. When done switch off the flame and serve hot along the meals.
