Coriander Mutton Curry

This is a simple Mutton Curry without coconut. The Curry contains mild aroma of spices.

 Ingredients
    • 1/2 kg Mutton chops boneless
    • 1 onion chopped
    • 2 tbsp garlic chopped
    • 2 tbsp ginger chopped
    • 3 green chilli slit
    • Ghee 4 tbsp 
    • Coconut oil 4tbsp

    Mutton marination :

    Marinate Mutton pieces with -

    • 1 tbsp chilli powder
    • 1 tsp Mutton masala powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Mix well and keep aside (20 minutes)

    Coriander paste :

    • Grind below to smooth paste
    • 1 tomato chopped
    • 2 fist for coriander leaves
    • 3-4 ginger pieces
    • 6-8 garlic cloves
    • Add little water
 Method
  • Coriander Mutton Curry Method-1

    1) Heat 2 tbsp Ghee :coconut oil. Roast the whole spices (star anise, cinnamon stick, snauf, cumin seeds, cloves). Add the chopped onions. Fry until light brown.
    2) Add the Marinated Mutton chops. Stir fry well 2-3 minutes.
    3) Add slit green chilli. Stir fry well for few minutes. Add 5-6 cups water. Pressure cook for 8 whistles.
    4) Add the potato cubes. Mix well, adjust salt if needed. Pressure cook again for 4 whistles.
    5) Add the coriander paste. Mix well. Cook for 10 minutes until oil leaves the gravy mixture and it's done. Add fine chopped coriander and serve along rice, Ghee rice,    Nan or Chapati.
